Mineral Files are like digital rocks—formed by layers of memory and time. From 2008 to 2024, my photographic archive has evolved into a stratified art, where images transform into digital fossils. Inspired by my deep connection with nature and a desire for a purer, almost shamanic dialogue with the Earth, I used digital manipulation as an archaeological tool—scratching away layers to reveal textures reminiscent of crystals.
This project challenges the contemporary paradox: while technology seems to distance us from nature, its foundations—silicon, minerals, crystals—are born of the Earth.
Mineral Files is my ritual of memory, an emotional atlas where personal recollections sediment into a timeless dialogue between the organic and the digital.
